I ordered some new things this week, and posted some new listings. I also get to check a few things off my shop goals list, yay!
New Listings:
Well, only sort of new. These listings are closely related to my already existing listings. Some of them I have gotten as custom requests multiple times so I decided to make them into a separate item. This way customers can see that I provide that customization without needing to message me or create a custom order.
Connecting States Digital Prints
I already offer this design as a pillow set, but now you can buy it as a digital print set. Purchase, download, print and you're all set! Add a frame if you want! For an additional cost you can customize the colors instead of the default black and red.
Home Is Where the Heart Is - Separates
I already sell these pillows as a set, but I've had multiple people inquire about purchasing them as separate pillows. You either purchase just the quote portion or just the state portion.
Two States - One Pillow
I have done this custom design a couple times. It is great for customers looking to represent multiple states, but aren't necessarily interested in a pillow set.
State Prints - Physical Prints
I already sell these as digital prints, but now you can purchase them already printed and with a mat if you like! I only have a couple states listed at the moment as sort of a test run. I am considering making physical prints a permanent part of my shop business, and I want to get a few "practice" orders before I list ALL 50 states and become overwhelmed.
Coming Soon:
New Options for Scripture Prints
COLOR!
PHOTO OVERLAY!
By the way, I am ALL DONE inking my scripture prints I posted about last week. Now, I just need to scan them in and prepare the files for purchase. Here is a sneak peek:
What Did I Purchase?
Fabric! - Home decor weight in the shades cream and white. I have been debating for several months now on what fabric to buy. Jo-Ann Fabrics unfortunately discontinued the fabric I originally used for my state pillows. Why did they have to do that?? I was using home decor weight fabric in the shade vanilla. The perfect off-white (not too white, not too yellow). After ordering MANY swatches of other fabrics, I have finally made a decision. I am sticking with the same fabric range - so it will have the exact same weight and texture. I get so many reviews saying that they love the fabric and that it feels high-quality, so I am glad I was able to stick with the same range. The color I chose is Cream which is SOOOO close to the Vanilla fabric, you almost can't tell the difference. I also bought the fabric in White for those customers that really need a true, crisp white to match their existing decor.
Materials for shipping Prints! - Cardstock, cello bags, rigid envelopes, and chipboard. Like I stated earlier, I am considering selling physical prints as a permanent part of my shop. Right now I am starting off with a few of my state prints - but I am looking to expand this to my scripture prints as well. Could be exciting!
Cute packaging! - bubble envelopes, shipping labels, stickers, washi tape, tissue paper. Before now, I have not been purchasing my envelopes or shipping supplies in bulk. Now that I know I will be getting a consistent flow of orders, I decided to invest in a bulk order from Amazon.com. I bought bubble envelopes in HOT PINK. I really wanted green ones, but they were twice as much and I'm not that picky. I also order shipping labels. This means I shouldn't have to tape my labels to my packages anymore - but we will have to see how well they stick! I bought some stickers to print at home with my logo and stick on the outside of my packages. I want people to get excited when they see my packaging and immediately know it is their MrsCaiterBug order. Branding people, branding!
I also bought some new washi tape in a variety of patterns (I went a little overboard, but they are SO CUTE!) and some new colorful tissue paper. I use both of these items to wrap up my items before I stick them in the envelope.
And the thing I am most excited about...
Fabric Tags with MY LOGO! I have been wanting to buy these for a long time and I finally did it! I really wanted to make sure I had a steady business before investing in this item (custom fabric tags with your logo in color ink doesn't come cheap!). I really wanted to support another shop on etsy, and I decided to order them through Finer Ribbon shop. The employee that I placed my order through was super helpful! They will be similar to a clothing label, and I will be sewing them into my pillow covers. I can't wait to see them in person and start using them! BRANDING! Below is the mock-up.
Sorry if this post was a little boring compared to my others! I hope you still enjoyed reading about what's coming up on my shop. Thanks for stopping by!
