The pictures below outline how to make a yoyo with a yoyo maker. |
Start with a swatch of fabric a little larger than your yoyo maker. You will also need a needle, thread, and scissors. |
Separate the inner circle from the base. |
Put the fabric in the base - wrong side down. |
Snap the inner circle into the base. There will be a couple guides to line up so you know it is in straight. |
Trim off the excess fabric leaving about a 1/2 inch. |
It should overlap the holes on the inner-circle. |
Make a knot at the end of your thread, and begin sewing around the circle using the guide holes. |
I usually sew two holes past my original starting point. And then pop out the inner circle. |
Gently pull the fabric off to the inner circle. |
Pull the thread so it scrunches up in the center. |
Tie a knot! |
Pull the needle through the backside of the yoyo, and then trim. This way the tail end of the thread stays inside the yoyo, and doesn't stick out the top. |
All done! |
